Who we are

We are two experienced business-owners who know what it’s like to be inside the bottle because we’ve been there ourselves.

We both built multi-million pound companies, and succeeded in selling them to global communications conglomerates. But along the way we often wished for the kind of guidance you couldn’t find in a book or a blog. Personalised, emotionally-objective guidance tailored to our individual circumstances and styles.

We’ve created North to provide exactly that. We want to give business owners on paths similar to our own, the kind of enabling, energising support, that can make all the difference.

Our team brings together an abundance experience.

Em’s passion for building environments in which people can play to their strengths, explore new ways of working and discover time to think is infectious.

We worked with Em on a Vision Day for our agency team. The agenda was powered to engage every team member in our mission, explore new ways of doing what we do, and deliver tangible results. The output was a clear set of priorities, buy in to the vision, and a roadmap to help us get there. It was a productive, well constructed day full of energy and focus."

Eva Reynolds

Eva believes that businesses really smash their goals when they answer yes to two fundamental questions: Are you all in? Is this fun? She is passionate about creating resiliency within businesses, nurturing environments that stimulate maximum engagement and enjoyment for leaders and the teams that support them.

Em’s passion for building environments in which people can play to their strengths, explore new ways of working and discover time to think is infectious.

She loves working with people to find their ‘why’ and believes that common purpose can enable teams to achieve amazing things.

Em co-founded a successful global communications agency with a strong, differentiated culture and a reputation for pathfinding behaviour, and disruptive thinking. She sold the multi-million pound business into the global media network, Havas, in 2015.

Since then, Em has helped a number of SME businesses to grow, transform or regenerate. This has involved consulting on culture, structure, business development, brokering partnerships, expansion into new markets, and leadership development. Em is a doer as well as a thinker, and enjoys rolling her sleeves up to enable agency leaders to achieve their aspirations.

Em lost her dad to young onset dementia (YOD). She is an advocate for accurate and timely YOD diagnosis, and campaigns to increase awareness and reduce stigma of dementia in middle age.

Em is a Trustee of YoungDementia UK, an organisation that supports young people with dementia and their families to adapt and live life. She sits on the Alzheimer’s Research UK Dementia Action Taskforce, and the Steering Committee of Dementia Carers In Touch.
